The Posted Sign

Welcome to Studio Lane Friday.
Because there is no room in my studio to place a sign post, I figured I'd use Unique Laser Designs wooden Sign Post on a layout.

Because my family somehow always gravitate to my studio instead of the family room, I snapped this picture of one of my invasions and created a LO.  On this LO I used ULD's large wooden sign post and inked it up to look a bit like worn wood. On the signage portion of the sign post, I used acrylic chalkboard paint to cover.  Once the paint dried, I used individual mini letter stamps to add the title "Studio Lane" using a white pigment ink.

I distressed various flowers and layered them about the base of the sign post, just for an added flair.  I also added lots of ink splatters and square mini tiles to keep it masculine.

In keeping with the look of signs we see on roadways, I used a few of the pattern paper label strips for layering.  This portion that says Lost & Found is perfect for this particular LO.  The strips of black washi tape with the typed alphas, and the various fonts on the paper, all fall in line with the theme of this LO.

Have a wonderful weekend!
