Katy here and I have made a cute scrapbook page using these super cute dinosaurs!
When I saw these dinosaurs I was instantly reminded of this little dinosaur outfit my son had. It was one of my favorites. So as with all Unique Laser Design wood pieces-I totally customized my dinosaurs to match the color scheme on my layout.
Since I wanted the dinosaurs to be bright and stand out, I painted gesso on them. I did two coats-on one I tried to apply ink one coat in and you could see the streaks. (Remember I'm not patient. LOL) ;)
Once the second coat of gesso was dried, I used a sponge applicator and put shabby shutters and salty ocean distress ink on the dinosaurs. Then I used applied some Versamark and clear embossing powder. I usually apply embossing powder and glitter on a coffee filter so it is easy to get back into the bottle. I have a whole stack so if one has purple glitter on it then I can grab a clean one.
Here is the completed blue dinosaur-he's shiny even though I didn't capture it as well as I thought I did. And he has a goggly eye. Fun!
Here is the T-Rex. I added a moustache brad to him. I could't help it. I think it's fun though. To make the hole-use a crop-a-dile!
