Mixed Media Pocket Scrapbooking Title Card Using Unique Laser Design's "Lips" MDF Wood Embellishments!

With Valentine's Day quickly approaching, I thought I would share how I created this mixed media title card for my pocket scrapbooking album using Unique Laser Design's awesome "Lips" MDF wood embellishments.
Valentine's Day Week Title Card
for My Pocket Scrapbooking Album

Let's do this!

Started with a 4x6 Piece of
Mixed Media Paper

Created a Polka Dot Background
Using an American Crafts Stencil
and a Chocolate Brown Neocolor II
Water-Soluble Wax Pastel

Blended the Color with an
Aqua Brush
Outlined the Circles with a
Black Inktense Pencil
Filled in the White Space with
a Pink Neocolor II Water-Soluble
Wax Pastel
Blended the Color with an Aqua Brush
Added a Light Coat of Gesso
Randomly Stamped this "LOVE"
Sentiment on the Background
with Black Ranger Archival Ink
Added Red & Pink Glitter Heart Stickers
Added Another Light Coat of Gesso &
a Piece of Washi Tape. Outlined the Washi
Tape with a Black Inktense Pencil
and Blended with an Aqua brush.
Outlined the Glitter Heart Stickers
with Tim Holtz Distress Marker (Blended),
Gelli Pens, and a Black Uni-Ball Signo (Broad) Pen

Created a Heart Stencil out of a Scrap
Piece of Mixed Media Paper and
Traced the Heart on my Background

Cut the Heart out &
Distressed the Edges
with Black Archival Ink
Added "LOVE" with Black Thickers
and Outlined with a Black
Uni-Ball Signo Pen
Added a "Dime Size" Amount of
Liquidtex Heavy Body Acrylic Paint
to my Gelli Plate
Grabbed these SUPER CUTE
Unique Laser Design's
MDF Wood "Lips" Embellishments

Dipped each Lip, Face Down, in the Acrylic Paint. (Note: Paint Must be
Thick Enough to see Peaks). Heated the Acrylic Paint with a Heat Gun until the
Paint Bubbled and Popped.
Pressed the Paint Down to Create this Cool Texture Once the Paint Cooled

Adhered the Heart & Lips to a
4x6 Piece of Patterned Scrapbooking
Paper with UHU Glue. Outlined the Heart
with Black Acrylic Paint & Doodled
Around the Shapes & Edges of the
Journal Card.
Stamped S.W.A.K. (Sealed With A Kiss)
with Black Archival Ink.
Added a Black & White Checkered
Border around the Heart
& Date Stamps

And Voila'! It is FINISHED!
Mixed Media Title Card (COMPLETE)!

XOXOXOXOXO
