Decorative ATC Cards

Hello ULD fans, Michelle here with a project that can be tweaked to anyone's style or decor.  I had a blast playing with these laser cut Artist Trading Cards from Unique Laser Designs, the possibilities of what you can create with these are endless.

The blank ATC's come in a set of 4.

Here's my set of 4 finished ATC's.  I got to play with some fun new products this weekend at a crop and this is what I ended up with.

To get this look I started by spraying the ATC's with Dylusion's ink spray.  These ink sprays give vibrant colors and great coverage and worked great on the ULD product.

After the spray dried and used two different paint colors to add another layer of interest.

Next I added some texture using a product called Ferro, by Viva, it's the chunky gold stuff that I smeared over a stencil to get this look.

Then I used a different stencil and a pigment marker to add some interest on top of the gold Ferro.  Then I fussy cut the flowers from a wide piece of lace I had.

I think the best part is that you can do what ever you want with these ATC's.  I love how they look placed in a square like this for a wall hanging.

Thanks for looking!

Congrats to the new Unique Laser Designs Team!

Happy July everyone !

I wanted to be the first to share the news with all of you....we have selected the new design team !
Although we have many of the "oldies but goodies" (I'll probably get in trouble for that comment ! lol) staying with us for another term, we do have three new ladies joining us for the first time.
The new term officially only starts August 1st, so you'll still have to wait just a little longer before seeing designs by our new ladies...in the mean time, we still have lots of projects coming from our original team.

So, without further ado, I'd like to introduce the 2nd Unique Laser Designs design team members !

Recipe from the Past...

Hello.................Debbie/ StudioBeeCreations here...
with my last posty as a Design Team member for
*****************
****

As soon as I saw the kitchen tools & spoons...I started designing this canvas piece.
I knew I had saved a recipe book given to me by my Mother-in-Law...
it was one of those church fund-raiser books where the ladies submitted their favorite recipes.
I thought this would make a GREAT gifty for family members for Christmas this year ( never too early to start!!)....I was able to copy many of the recipes submitted by Janet (MIL) and HER Mom...Marion Boldry.
We called her MoBo...and boy howdy could she cook!!
Using the awesome cut-outs from ULD...this will make a great memory piece for each family member.
I started with my Gelli & deli paper ( I can't stop myself!)....and decided to keep the ULD pieces "natural" and let the beauty of the wood show through.
I will be placing my order for lots more of these super ULD products!
**************
I want to thank the design team and
UNIQUE LASER DESIGNS for wonderful inspiration over the past months!!
It's been a GREAT Creative Ride!!

creative blessings,
Debbie

Coloring ULD products is easy peasy!!!...use whatever you have in your stash!!
I am "BeeBee" to  Faith & Niah...so, I HAD to color up and include the fun bee ..

Paige's Banner

Hey Unique Laser Design fans, Michelle here to share this cute banner I made for my daughter's 4th birthday.  Her birthday party theme was rainbows and unicorns so I created this banner to go with the rainbow theme.

The mini banner set starts with five unfinished shapes and five unfinished letters.

I painted each piece a different color of the rainbow and alternated the banner bases with the letters.

Here's a closer look.

And another.  These are a quick and easy way to make a fun and festive banner for any occasion.

Thanks for looking!

Father's Day Tool Cards

Hi ULD fans, Michelle back today to share a set of cards that are perfect for Father's Day or as a thank you to a handy man in your life.

These cards were inspired by these awesome little tool sets from ULD.

You can find the unfinished set here.

Here's a close up of the vertical tool box card.  On this card all the tools are painted.  I left the handle on the hammer unfinished on this one.

Next up is the tool belt gift card holder.  these are all hand painted as well.  I winged this one and just eyeballed the shape and cut the pieces from a piece of canvas.

and last, but not least is the tool box card.  I love this card because it can be displayed somewhere and is a great way to give a gift card.

Here's the tools in the tool box, the handle on the hammer and the screwdriver are wrapped with washi tape.

There's plenty of time to order a set or two of these tools before Father's Day on June 15th.

Thanks for looking!

You Are A Star Card

Hello Unique Laser Design fans, Michelle here to share a simple card that could be used for many occasions, especially if you swap out one shape for another.

I used the small stars for this card but you could easily use any of the mini shapes available.

I layered a couple pieces of patterned paper for the base of this card and added some stickers and 5 small ULD stars.  I love this card just like this.  It's quick, simple and if you changed the background color this could easily be a masculine card.

And even though those stars are gorgeous without any altering, I added a little bit of gold stickles to give them a more feminine look.

Thanks for looking!
